Update on a cloudy monday free
The first day of vacation.
Sunday - yesterday - is a national holiday, the hearing Veteran's Day , sort of April 25 of the New World as the Americans are serious people when it comes to holidays, if the holiday falls on a Sunday, you are at home on Monday .
Hooray for the USA!
On Saturday the United States do not go to school - at any level, high school or middle school that is.
Another hooray for the USA!
A very long weekend, then: namely Friday at 3 pm start of a long weekend of no less than four days, a perfect opportunity to get some sleep 'and regain his strength before the great Thanksgiving ate the end of the month and the final rush of early December, when it was raining cats and dogs exams!
Immediately after classes on Friday, our teacher and supervisor invites us to the bar to celebrate with a few beers and a margarita: the weekend is promising. Let's go unit in a faux-Mexican, whose major merit is the inordinate amount of alcohol in any drink that is: after a round of beers I pass the Diet Coke and the rest of the band drinks ... luckily all have to go soon, the day is a Sabbath to drink here! *
explanation for those unfamiliar traditions dell'universitario average American * Saturday is THE DAY OF FOOTBALL : starting to drink in the morning - curious phenomenon called tailgating - then go to the stadium to watch the match football - and can exchange with calcium or make your skin! - And you start drinking!
I stop to buy a pair of shoes with Matt, and so lose the others: I buy a nice pair of black newBalance for a paltry $ 40, which are about 35 € ... another hooray for the USA! After shopping we go to Matt's house to watch a movie, but as Usually we fall asleep on the couch at 10 ... hard life when you wake up early and work all day!
beginning to feel old .... =.=
Saturday morning we woke up all too soon, Matt takes me home and then start preparing for the game (thanks to Matt I have tickets next to the golf! ^.^): Shower of order, red shirt and gray on a jersey with with the number 36 (to Matt! he he I've got to pay off: P), comfortable jeans, new shoes, jacket for the evening - here is a cool bill! - And earrings with buckeyes! *
explanation for those unfamiliar traditions of the student at Ohio State University * The average Ohio State students are called Buckeyes - named after a local poisonous nut! Of course all the sports clubs, the best known and loved is the football club - with a stage that holds the beauty of 105,000 people! - And the players are called Buckeyes! So my earrings Buckeyes are a very popular accessory though much useless! Maybe someone will ask what is a jersey here here!
Then I go to do some 'of shopping - I was told that during a football day are great deals! - And go from UniversiTees shop popular T-shirts and merchandising universities: I offer "buy a shirt, you have 2 free ... oO
then buy two shirts and get 6 - I hereby present my student ID - that BuckID - and give me 3 more shirts! OO
I leave the store with 9 shirts! Another hooray for the USA!
At 3 I go to the stadium, I settle into my great place - thanks, Matt! <3 - and began to cheer - yes, I fell in love with football and I love the university team, I like to follow the charts and I have mastered all the rules! ^ _ ^
After the first two quarters I feel nervous: we are losing, the first time since the season began in September ... evil bad! >. <
Forget the negative thoughts and I go to greet his mother and grandmother of Matt! *
explanation for those unfamiliar with Matt * Matt is part of the OSU football team, his father is a coach - the coach quarterback - his sister is a cheerleader and mother of un'appassionatissima football! There, now you understand better: P
Meanwhile, the magnificent Osu Marching Band will entertain the rest of ' Halftime (in football, a game consists of four quarters, and between the second and third there is a long pause in which the band is a performance - is incredible to say ...), and they are good is very little ... check it out!
See the Script Ohio live is a great experience ^.
^ Unfortunately, the remaining two quarters are not very pleasant: the Buckeyes lost their first game of the season, and they lose the first place in the country - here The college football is something serious, heh - and therefore the possibility of going to the National Championship , sort of Superbowl university ... patience, next year it runs - Go Bucks!
After the game are invited to Daniels house (Matt's parents) for dinner - we talk and the time passes quickly. After dinner we go home and as usual we fall asleep on the couch - Beginning to feel old>. <
Obviously we wake up too early, like eight, and Sunday promises committed: I return to my room to Jones Tower (my university accommodation) while Matt goes to the post game meeting, and in preparation for next week, when there will be the biggest game of the season, OSU vs Michigan! The meeting lasts less than 7 hours! >. <*
explanation for those unfamiliar with the traditions of the university * For over 100 years, there is fierce rivalry between Ohio State University and Michigan University, and hatred rose to frightening levels in the week before the end of season game between the Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines! T-shirts with jokes and insults and public sympathy are the order of the day (I love the guy who throws the girl out of the car because rooting for Michigan: P) in a very competitive atmosphere! Nice
Note: the colors - hated - of Michigan are yellow and blue, like those of the Verona soccer team!
If any of my friends will come and visit me, could have a heart attack at the sight of the colors of the city! >. <
I decide to watch a movie, and call a colleague from the Department of French - we watch War of the Worlds Spielberg - well, not watch it ever a real crap ...
After 3 hours badly borne, that name is Matt finished the meeting and decide to watch the infamous film on Friday - we come to his house but! His roommate is watching a game of NFL (National Football League, professional football), so we sit down to watch us too loose against the Indianapolis Colts to the Chargers of San Diego - and I get depressed, because I like the Colts ! >. <
Then, as usual, there's asleep on the couch at 11!
morning you wake up all too soon and return home, while Matt goes to yet another meeting pre-Michigan!
I lunch with my dear colleague Audrey as we discuss the lessons for next week, then I go to Barne & Noble to buy a mega pool with the Ohio State logo (it's hot and on sale! ^. ^) In school colors, scarlet and gray!
Then I come home and here I am writing ^ __ ^
I'm too Americanized? Oh yes, I am fully aware>. <
But I love this country, and football I love it now! I love to see a player who receives a pass and does not realize that the opponent comes to throw down ... Solta is a blow, and feels the entire stage whisper, "Ouch ..."
Nothing to do with our football, where mountains drop 90 pounds and barely touched the referees whistle for each contact: /

Speaking Tommi (my neighbor in Italy!) Is out this fantastic video : D
Ha ha, are not terrible?
Then, overcome with boredom, I started watching videos of Bollywood, and wonder how something so beautiful can become something so ridiculous ! >. <
I'm off to the tune of Carmen Ohio, one of college fighting song - sung by baby is cute, but sung by 105 thousand people at the stadium is creepy! : D
